Modern Warfare 2 is the latest Call of Duty release and it’s been a long-awaited one. The players are eager to find out all they can about the game modes, but while standard multiplayer and a Campaign are pretty safe bets, others like Zombies, Spec Ops and Ranked Play are far from guaranteed. For example, both competitive CoD fans and noncompetitive ones have been asking for information about Ranked Play and how it will work in Modern Warfare 2. MW 2 Ranked Play: When Will It Release?
Modern Warfare 2 is releasing on October 28, with Warzone 2.0 following the next month on November 16. Ranked Play could be included in the sequel to Call of Duty: Black Ops II but there is not enough time between the two releases for it to happen.
MW 2: What Will The Game Modes Be Like?
Modern Warfare 2, the successor to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, is expected to have a ranked mode shortly after launch. Some CoDs do not get a ranked mode at all until months after release. The latest leaks indicate that MW2 will feature a ranked mode, which is set to be released after the game’s launch. Treyarch will be leading development on the project.
MW 2 Ranked Play: What You Need To Know
The first MW 2 leak came from Vanguard Intel on October 14. Allegedly, the ranks in descending order as follows:
- Crimson
- Diamond
- Platinum
- Gold
- Silver
- Bronze
Like the previous games in the Modern Warfare series, we expect to see Control, Hardpoint and Search and Destroy as well as a few other modes. Control is not always featured in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare titles, but it has been revealed in leaks that Capture the Flag will be included in MW2.
