The Overwatch 2 tier list is still in progress, but pro players have been playing the new game since it went live this week. It’s too early to determine what the best heroes are, but they’ve been playing on an early build of the new game. My team and I will be updating the list once there have been enough matches to create a more accurate tier list.
The OWL 2 Tier List is here, which means that new characters, maps, and class passives have been added to the game. Note that not all heroes, maps, and class passives are active on the competitive ladder so far, but this tier list will change as more data from the competitive ladder is collected.

A Tier
Brigitte
Brigitte is not the best support in Overwatch 2. That doesn’t mean she’s not effective in one of the lower tiers. Her Shield Bash crowd control is replaced with some additional damage, making her still a valuable part of your team.
Zenyatta
Zenyatta, who is ranked second in the ‘overwatch 2 tier list’, still makes a good support to play into tanks because of Orb of Discord debuff. But with nerfs to shields and tanks being less popular as a result, his role has shifted somewhat. Nonetheless, he is still picked a significant amount in the OWL, so pros have not given up on him just yet.
B Tier
Baptiste
Baptiste is fallen into the category of most niche picks as he falls below the majority of the “meta” in pro play. However, he has received buffs to his Regenerative Burst and Biotic Launcher that help him excel in a clumped-up fight with many allies.
C Tier
Mercy
Mercy is an amazing healer, but she needs a team that can take advantage of verticality. I don’t think Pharah and Echo are as strong, so Mercy might not be picked often in Overwatch 2.
Moira
Moira has been barely picked in OWL games, not played for very long when she was picked, and has fallen to the bottom of the pack. She didn’t get any major changes before Overwatch 2, but unfortunately she just doesn’t do anything well enough to justify being a consistent pick. On the tier list for OW 2, she is stuck at Tier 6.
S Tier
Ana
The Overwatch 2 Tier List is a rankings list that lists the current power ranking of all heroes in the game. Ana has been ranked as the most picked support hero by pros, thanks to her long range heals, crowd control on her Sleep Dart, and ability to ramp up the team’s frontline with Nano Boost.
Lucio
Lucio is a staple hero in the new game of Overwatch 2. He may not have many changes due to it being an upgraded version, but thanks to maps opening up and changing to 5v5, Lucio has been given a boost.
